LAUNCH: After 6 months of research, we’re happy to share our Tech Vs Abuse report. We worked in collaboration with Snook, Safelives and the project was commissioned by Comic Relief.
LAUNCH: We are very excited to announce that our first Ammal course with Teachable is up! Arm yourself with How to Design a Logo in an Hour!
LAUNCH: Do It Yourself Online Safety guide was launched in 8 languages. Read The guide in in English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Farsi, Pashto, Urdu and Russian.
On International Women’s Day: Hera spoke at OECD in Paris about how corruption harms marginalised women, Aliya at Spark Salon by Tata Consultancy Services, and Dina at Tech for Good meet up in London. Check out tweets from the events here.
Chayn has partnered with DOT Lebanon, and our Online Safety Guide will now be a part of their Digital Youth Activism curriculum that will be implemented in 14 UNICEF Innovation Labs all across Lebanon.

Jess had a great time speaking about our Tech vs Abuse project at Soapbox. Also, Here was at the British Islam Conference to speak about how we leverage open source projects to empower women.
We are thrilled to announce that Nominet Trust, the UK's largest social tech funder has named Snap Counsellors as one of the top 150 Social Tech projects of the year. We were picked from amongst 700 top organisations from around the world.

We are excited to announce that we have once again begun work on creating Supernova, a platform for members of the LGBTQ community - if you’d like to be involved then please get in touch.
We will soon to be launching our Good Friend Guide on how to be a friend to impart practical and simple information to anyone who is looking to support someone in an abusive relationship.
How to Build your Own Domestic Violence Case Without a Lawyer Toolkit will soon be available in gitbooks, like our DIY Online Safety guide.
Chayn Italia was contacted by Worth Wearing a platform that allows good causes to design t shirts and to sell them to fundraise to help us cover the costs for Chayn Italia’s legal registration.
Chayn Italia has also established a brand new partnership with the women’s aid center Frida based in a small town in Sicily called Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto. The newly established Frida is running a training course which starts in March for women who want to work as volunteers welcoming and listening to other women at the centre.
For soul medicine project, we are now applying for a UNESCO grant and a Comic Relief grant!
< NEW PROJECT & COLLABORATIONS >
We’re starting a new project collating information about how to deal with manipulative people.
We’ve just launched a Chayn school on Teachable for our volunteers (but really, anyone can enroll!) about project management. Give it a go!
After providing information on sexual health on both the Chayn Pakistan and Chayn India websites for the last couple of years, we are now developing a sexual health toolkit. More information coming soon.
