Finally a Chayn site for abusive LGBTQIA+ relationships & funding for Soul Medicine! 🌈
WHAT'S UP WITH CHAYN?
A monthly email with all that’s happening in the Chayn universe.
P.S. Chayn چین is an Urdu word and it means ‘solace / peace of mind’.

LAUNCH: We launched our first platform addressing abuse experienced by queer folks in their intimate relationships, The Supernova Project. Abuse in heterosexual relationships is often spoken about. What about abuse in LGBTQIA+ relationships? The Supernova Project is built to provide a safe space for queer folk to help identify signs of abuse. Let us know if you have a story.
BLOG: Olivia wrote about what abuse looks like in queer relationships and Michelle introduced the Supernova Project to the world.
PRESS: The Supernova Project was featured in Gaylaxy Magazine and in Not So Popular. AWID also published a callout on their website to help us gather new organisations to add to the website.
Very exciting news for Soul Medicine! This past month we won the Tech vs. Abuse grant of £50,000! It's a funding initiative targeted for technological innovation and creative digital solutions, to improve the safety of women and girls affected by domestic abuse. The Tech vs Abuse grant initiative is funded jointly through the Tampon Tax Fund, a partnership between Comic Relief and HM Government, and the Big Lottery Fund. On top of the grant we'll also be mentored by CAST to make sure the Soul Medicine application is a big success! Last month Hera, Fahad and Hannah attended the kick-off Tech vs. Abuse bootcamp day in London, lead by CAST and Comic Relief. A very interesting day filled with workshops how to best develop a tech for good project.
